On the 10th of December The Centre for Fine Woodworking annual exhibition kicked off with a fantastic opening night at The Refinery Artspace in Nelson. To the right of this post is a slideshow of the work on display.

The furniture on display was the culmination of 10 months of inspired chipping, delivered courtesy of the Big White Whale and served with some of Nelsons finest craft beer. The success of the night was thanks to some behind the scenes brilliance by John, Helen, Larry, Adam, Bernie, Pat, Fini, David, Claire, Richard and of course all those students who contributed such beautiful furniture to The Exhibition.

Well thats 2009, and I think I might be experiencing some symptoms of furniture withdrawal as my time at The Centre for Fine Woodworking has now finished. I would like to encourage readers of this blog to stay reading next year as a fresh bunch of woodworkers take The Centre by storm.
