All sorts of people from all walks of life seem to gravitate towards The Centre for Fine Woodworking. Whether its a meteorologist, a craft beer brewer, a fisheries officer, an engineer, a pilot or an anesthetist. They all seem to have one thing in common, the need to make things. I know this feeling well as its also the reason Im am here at The School and is the inspiration for my work. Recently this compulsion to make became unbearable, so instead of dreaming of all the wonderful things that one could make I decided to simply get cracking. If this resonates with you maybe its time do the same. Later this year the Centre has an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to Grab - a - Bench.

Term 3 of the full time course here is when things really start buzzing - and this year we are inviting you to be part of it. Do you want to overcome the "Where do I Start?" feeling or the belief that you cant design? Would you like to work through an idea that youve got with tutor support? Do you want to be part of the action when a motivated group develop and create new work?
